Effective date: 30 September 2026

This policy describes how the TFTS mobile application (“the App”), published by TalosAvionics (“we”, “us”), handles information. The App is a companion tool for TalosAvionics FTS (Flight Termination System) devices.

    Summary

The App does not collect, store or share personal data. It has no user accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking.

    Bluetooth

The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy only to find and communicate with TalosAvionics FTS devices: to read and change device settings (Bluetooth name, device address) and to install firmware updates. Information read from the device (such as its name, address, firmware version and serial number) is shown on screen only and is not stored or transmitted anywhere.

    Location permission

On Android 11 and earlier, the Android system requires the location permission for any app that scans for Bluetooth devices. The App requests it only for this reason. The App does not access, use or store your location. On Android 12 and later the App does not request location access at all.

    Internet access and firmware updates

The App connects to the TalosAvionics update server over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection only to check for the latest firmware version and download firmware files. These requests contain no personal data and no information about you or your device. As with any internet service, the server may record standard technical information (such as IP address and time of request) in its logs for security and operational purposes; this information is not used to identify you and is not shared with third parties.

    Files

If you choose to install a firmware file manually, the App reads only the file you select, and only to send it to your FTS device.

    Children

The App is intended for professional use and is not directed at children.

    Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App changes. The current version is always available at this page, with its effective date.
